Shadow Dancer Tyrannosaurus 5160 Steel Katana

The Shadow Dancer's Katana features a striking shinogi zukuri blade forged from 5160 steel, oil quenched, and mirror polished. Secured with one mekugi, the blade includes a real yokote. With a hardness of 57 to 58 HRC, 5160 spring steel ensures excellent toughness and edge retention.

The katana is equipped with an iron maru gata (round) tsuba, and brass fuchi, kashira, menuki, seppa, and habaki. The Haichi style tsuka is inlaid with white genuine samegawa and wrapped in artificial silk ito. The handle can include hishigami, small folded paper triangles placed under the tsuka-maki wrap to uphold its shape and provide a firmer grip.

The blade is sheathed in an oil-lacquered saya with brass shitodome to prevent the thick sageo from fraying.
