Hanwei Viking Axe Francisca Throwing and Combat

The Francisca, named after its Frankish roots, served as a versatile weapon for the Vikings, utilized both in throwing and close-quarters combat. Renowned for its elegant design, this axe boasted an upswept point and a downturned edge, enabling it to pierce through chain mail. 

Crafted by Paul Chen at the Hanwei factory, our Francisca axe features a steel head with a fire-gray or antiqued finish, ensuring durability and authenticity. The swelled-end hardwood shaft ensures a secure attachment of the head, while the backswept design, reminiscent of the originals, enhances its sticking ability when thrown.
