Hanwei Katana Wind and Thunder

Hanwei's Wind and Thunder Katana is a unique piece made specially for a martial artist who requires a sword for heavy target cutting. Featuring a heavier and thicker full tang blade forged from T10 steel, the addition of silicon to the material along with the differential treatment and clay tempering process results in a strong blade with remarkable edge retention. An added benefit would be the vibrant suguha hamon that enhances the overall aesthetics of the blade.

As its name suggests, this katana is equipped with a Raiden tsuba made from blackened stainless steel, and a fuchi and kashira with the Tomoe motif detailed in gold. The tsuka is first covered with genuine white same while the tsukamaki uses premium Japanese black cotton as the tsuka ito. The blade comes sheathed in a black lacquered saya with black sageo.

Due to the construction of the blade along with traditional fittings, this katana is an ideal choice for batto-jutsu practitioners. A matching wakizashi is also available as a companion sword as part of a Daisho set.
