Windlass 16th Century German Mace

Plate armor, by the 15th century, became the norm in Europe and rendered many weapons incapable of penetrating it. When some weapons fell short, it all came down to the mace. This is a replica of a 16th-century German Mace that could make short work of armor and was very easy to master—a simple bash would be enough.

This replica mace features 8 flanges on its head and is made out of carbon steel. It has been coated in a protective black color to make it closer to the original found today in a museum, while also giving it stronger anti-rust and corrosion properties.

The shaft is around 24 inches in length and made to be heavy, which increases the impact upon smashing. At the bottom, it is wrapped with black leather, significantly improving the grip.
