Windlass The Accolade Sword of the Knights Templar

This is the Accolade Sword of the Knights Templar, a historically accurate sword that would once have been carried by the legendary Templar Knights. The blade bears the iconic words of their creed: Non Nobis, Domine, Non Nobis, Sed Nomini Tuo Ad Gloriam: "Nothing for us, Lord, nothing for us but for the glory of Thy name." This was their motto, and they controlled the battlefields for over 200 years with these swords.

The blade is made out of 1080 high carbon steel, a material known for its durability when used for cutting. It features an accurate 12th-century design with a very gradual taper leading toward the tip and a fuller running across its center to lower its weight.

The hilt is one-handed, with a narrowed crossguard leaning toward the blade, allowing for more versatility in slashes. The pommel is the iconic European rounded one, with the symbol of the Templars deeply engraved. The hilt has a genuine leather wrap underneath a wire for maximum comfort and a powerful grip of its user.

The sword comes with its very own custom matching wooden scabbard, covered in top-grain heavy-duty dark brown leather. It also has a matching period belt with solid metal fittings.

This sword can be used for cutting practice as it is battle-ready (sharpened). It is also possible to make a full set by matching it with The Accolade Dagger of the Knights Templar (404335).
