The tanto is one of the most iconic blades carried by Japanese samurai due its reliability in close-quarters engagements. Its compact form and acute point allowed warriors to exploit gaps in even the most thickest of armors.

This model comes with a shinogi-zukuri cross-section—the classic ridged design featuring a pronounced spine and a beveled cutting edge. Beloved among samurai blades, shinogi-zukuri balances durability with keen sharpness, enabling powerful cuts without sacrificing structural strength. The blade is hand-crafted from high-carbon T10 tool steel, ensuring excellent edge retention and toughness.

The tsuka is constructed in the traditional manner, with authentic rayskin under a snugly wrapped tsuka-ito in a diamond pattern. A wooden mekugi peg secures the fittings firmly to the tang.

The scabbard is carved from wood and polished to a sleek, reflective shine, complete with a sageo cord for proper tying and presentation.
