Dragon King Sea Wave Wakizashi Serenity Fear

Dragon King's Sea Wave Wakizashi is a stunning piece with a color palette that reminds one of the deep depths of the ocean. Ebbing and flowing, sea waves have a dual nature, sometimes calm and serene, otherwise turbulent and forbidding.

Forged from folded T10 alloy and 9260 high carbon steel, the resulting blade has excellent shock resistance and flexibility while retaining its hardened edge of 60 HRC very well. The differential hardening process also produces a midareba (irregular) hamon that becomes even more prominent after polishing. Additionally, the bohi in the blade helps to decrease the sword's overall weight while improving its point of balance.

As expected from a sea wave themed katana, it is equipped with a silver finished mokko gata (lobed shape) tsuba, fuchi, and kashira with wave motifs. This silver finish is also reflected in the habaki and notched seppa. Meanwhile, the silver and gold menuki stands out against the wooden core tsuka covered with white samegawa and tightly wrapped with dark blue tsuka ito.

Last but not least, this masterpiece is completed by a dark blue saya fitted with buffalo horn kurigata and koiguchi, along with a blue sageo that ties in the wakizashi's overall design.
