Synthetic Single Hand Sparring Sword – Black Blade & Hilt

The synthetic-bladed swords are carefully engineered with specific features to ensure safe and effective training. The blades are designed to flex in the last one-third towards the tip, allowing for safer thrusting compared to traditional wooden wasters or shinai. The blade/tang joint is strengthened by a high-tensile steel rod that runs along the full length of the handle, eliminating the typical handle flex found in plastic training swords. These synthetic blades are not only suitable for sparring but also offer a safer alternative for theatrical performances.

Red Dragon provides a range of interchangeable parts, allowing for customization and the creation of various sword styles using a single blade. The Longsword and Single-hand sword feature ball-shaped quillon finials and rounded pommels designed with sparring safety in mind, as do the pommel and basket of the basket-hilt sword.
