PRODUCT DETAILS

The Pecoraro Sabre features a full-cupped perforated guard, reinforced with ridges at the slimmer pommel end of the "D" shape. The high-carbon steel blade from Hanwei by Paul Chen is highly flexible towards the tip, and a replacement blade (OH2264) is available.

Sabre fencing in the late 19th century Italian style has gained popularity in historical fencing societies. Originating from the training of mounted troops, this style was developed by fencing masters like Guiseppe Radaelli and refined by Salvatore Pecoraro at the Military Masters School in Rome. Hanwei's fencing sabers replicate the hilt designs of Radaelli and Pecoraro, featuring stainless steel guards and wire-wrapped sharkskin-pattern grips. The high-carbon flex-tempered steel blades closely follow the period's proportions and are button-tipped for safety.

The "Hutton" sabre reflects the style of true military sabres, with a shortened and lightened blade and a rounded tip for effective training. All hilts are compatible with both blade styles.
