Katana 1095 Carbon Steel Sword 1.26″ Sori Clay Tempered Dragonfly

This is a replica of a Japanese Katana sword, once proudly utilized by samurai warriors. This specific blade is a combination of the cavalry Tachi and infantry Katana due to the level of curvature it features. This curvature, a total of 1.26", allows for more powerful sweeping slashes and cuts. The strongly curved Katana is made from 1095 high carbon steel. It has been suitably heat-treated, quenched, and traditionally clay tempered to produce a much harder edge and a genuine hamon.

The blade is full tang and double-pegged for added security, while its handle is wrapped in a historically accurate manner. A genuine rough rayskin lies underneath a tight tsuka-maki cord wrap, enhancing handling attributes. The scabbard is made from wood and lacquered for a bright, shiny reflection. All fittings are brass-engraved, following a dragonfly motif that symbolizes agility, determination, and victory. This blade comes with a free sword storage bag and can serve as an ideal tool for tameshigiri (cutting practice) or Iaido (safe training).
