PRODUCT DETAILS

The Battle of Agincourt (1415) was one of the most pivotal moments in the Hundred Years’ War, where King Henry V of England defied all odds and defeated a much larger French force. This historic victory is still remembered today, not only for its tactics but also for the weapons used—especially the 15th-century longsword, a stiff, thrust-oriented blade designed to pierce through the narrow gaps in a knight’s armor during close combat and grappling.

This sword is a faithful replica of a real weapon found in the River Thames, later moved to the Tower of London, now preserved in the Royal Armouries as Sword IX.16. It has been reproduced with remarkable accuracy—photos even show it side by side with the original.

The blade is forged from 1080 high carbon steel and comes unsharpened with a clear bevel on both edges for realism. It features a flattened diamond cross-section tip, designed for thrusting, and is based on a blade that also included features like a blunt ricasso and hexagonal midsection—all useful in both dueling and armored half-sword techniques. Despite its length, it handles lightly in the hand.

The grip is two-handed, wrapped in leather, and finished with a solid pommel—historically also used for striking. The scabbard is made with a wood core and covered in leather for an authentic finish.

To complete the set, it includes a certificate of authenticity, a heavy-stock card, and a polishing cloth—a perfect choice for collectors or those who want to own a genuine piece of medieval history.
