    A replica of the 1840 Ames NCO sword, this straight blade was immensely popular across North America and used by American soldiers for over 70 years. It played a significant role in many pivotal wars and battles in U.S. history, including the Mexican War (1846-1848), Civil War (1861-1865), and Spanish-American War (1898).
    The sword, forged from 1075 high carbon steel known for its cutting durability, is a faithful reproduction of the original. It features brass fittings, a round pommel, and a knuckle handguard with two kidney shapes for added protection. The blade boasts a central fuller and an unsharpened ricasso, inscribed with "AMES MFG CO / CHICOPEE / MASS" on the left side and "US / DFM / 1863" on the right side. Accompanied by a leather sheath, this blade is fully functional, complete with a sharpened edge.
