Kirin Tang Jian Sword Chinese Folded Steel

This is the Chinese "Kirin Auspicious Tang Jian," a tribute to the magnificence of Tang Dynasty (618 - 907 CE) blades. It features a motif of the mysterious Kirin or Qilin, a unicorn or hooved creature that regularly appears in Chinese mythology, symbolizing goodwill, benevolence, gentleness, and integrity. Made of pattern steel and high carbon 1095, the sword is folded together to produce layers reminiscent of a Damascus blade.

The blade, hand-polished and clay-tempered, showcases a genuine hamon temper line. Both the handle and the scabbard are crafted from quality ebony wood, beautifully wrapped with rayskin. This sword is ideal for a collection piece or safe training in Kung Fu. It can also be sharpened for functional cutting practice.
