PRODUCT DETAILS

This Qi Lia Dao single-edged curved saber is a replica of Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) blades. It shares many similarities with Japanese samurai blades, except that these wielded one-handed hilts, as instructed by General Qi Ji Guang. The blade consists of Damascus Steel, folded repeatedly to produce a total of 8192 distinctive and beautiful grain pattern lines.

The blade is full tang, heat-treated, and oil-quenched. It also features two sets of grooves that add an aesthetic design while reducing the sword's weight. It includes a red hualee wood scabbard and a wooden handle, traditionally wrapped with a cord. When sharpened, the blade can serve for cutting practice. Alternatively, it can serve as decor or for martial arts training when unsharpened. A free sword bag accompanies it.
