    Despite being created in modern times, this Classic Tamahagane Katana is forged from Chinese tamahagane steel using traditional methods and differentially clay tempered to produce a midare hamon. To bring out the beauty of the functional full tang blade, it is Hazuya polished using a thin Uchimogori stone fixed with paper. With iron fittings (tsuba, fuchi, and kashira), its lacquered saya (scabbard) ties off the elegant design of the classic katana.

    **JKoo Swords uses an imitation of Japanese Tamahagane steel, which is slightly different and much more affordable.
