Katana Damascus Steel Sword Clay Tempered Iron Koshirae

This hand-forged Katana is a replica of the renowned edged weapon used by the samurai in both their everyday lives and combat. It is crafted from the mysterious Damascus Steel, folded 13 times, and flaunting approximately 8192 vibrant, visible layers dancing across its blade. The steel is polished using the Hazuya stone technique to amplify its glossy visuals; it's also appropriately heat-treated, quenched and clay tempered to attain ideal hardness levels and an authentic hamon.

The full tang is double-pegged for added security; it is traditionally wrapped with rayskin and silk tsuka-maki, ensuring a firm grip. The fittings consist of iron, brass, and copper elements, complete with an open-wheel-designed handguard. The scabbard is constructed from resilient hardwood, finished with a glossy exterior. This Katana is perfectly suited for tameshigiri (cutting practice), Iaido training, cosplay, or it can simply serve as an opulent decorative piece.
