Ronin Katana Dojo Pro 1060 Steel Tanto #1

The traditional Japanese dagger or tanto served as a ceremonial weapon for the samurai and was used by commoners for self defense. Despite its size, it is usually made the same way as its larger peers such as the katana and wakizashi.

The Dojo Pro Steel Tanto #1 by Ronin Katana is a modern tanto that follows the traditional requirements of an authentic Japanese dagger. Forged from 1060 steel and through hardened, the blade has a consistent hardness throughout. It is mounted in the Hamidashi style to feature a small tsuba (guard). Completing the design are the gold colored habaki (blade collar), seppa (washer), and menuki (decorative ornament) along with a fuchi kashira (hilt collar and pommel cap) with unique motifs. This tanto comes sheathed in a simple black glossy saya (scabbard) that is lacquered with a sageo (carrying cord) attached to the kurigata (knob for sageo).
