Dragon Sword's Hira Zukuri Tameshigiri Katana combines affordability, function, and elegance. It has a hira zukuri blade, featuring neither a shinogi nor yokote. This type of blade is standard since the Heian period for tanto and ko-wakizashi. However, the Muromachi period saw a considerable number of katana with the hira zukuri blade.
Forged from steel, heat treated via oil quenching, and mirror polished, it does to have a hamon, but features a bohi to help lighten the overall weight of the blade while improving its point of balance. The blade is secured to the tsuka with a mekugi.
It features an iron tsuba with a samurai carved on it; blackened brass fuchi, kashira, menuki; silver plated brass seppa; and cupronickel habaki. The tsuka is inlaid with white samegawa and wrapped with kapok ito from Japan. Sheathed in a black saya with horn koiguchi, kurigata, and kojiri, it comes with a thickened sageo that goes through the cupronickel shitodome.
We carefully choose our suppliers, resulting in a diverse inventory of products. Classification isn’t solely price-based and may change dynamically due to various factors like reviews, brand reputation and such.
This factor may affect delivery times; products from the US warehouse usually arrive faster than those from international suppliers. Generally, delivery takes 4 to 8 days for items that are ready to ship, plus lead time for custom orders. Shipping costs for non-free shipping items are displayed at checkout, lead time on the product page.
Most products have a 30-day return policy from the day you receive the package. Custom-made swords are eligible for replacement only.
