Shadow Dancer S7 Steel Super Sharp Mirror Tameshigiri Katana

Perfect for nature lovers, this Shadow Dancer katana’s design is inspired by lush bamboo forests that have stood the test of time. 

Its shinogi zukuri (ridge line runs along the blade’s length on both sides) blade is forged from S7 steel, known for its exceptional strength, toughness, and shock resistance—highly recommended for cutting practice. Heat treated and oil quenched, the blade is super mirror polished to reveal an intensely stunning blade with glass-like finish. 

Complementing the katana are high quality fittings—including a blackened maru gata (round) iron tsuba, gold-toned brass seppa and habaki, along with blackened brass fuchi, kashira, and menuki with gold-detailed bamboo motifs. An evergreen with quick and straight growth, the bamboo is a symbol of resilience, strength, longevity, and upright virtues.

A mekugi secures the full tang blade to the wooden Haichi-style tsuka covered in white genuine samegawa wrapped very tightly using Japanese imported cotton ito for a durable and secure grip. 

Bringing together the cohesive design is the glossy black lacquered saya with green speckles reminiscent of the forest canopy or mossy undergrowth. The scabbard is fitted with brass shitodome and has a thickened sageo.
