S5 Steel Super Sharp Mirror Tameshigiri Katana

Shadow Dancer's S5 Steel Super Sharp Mirror Tameshigiri Katana is a unique piece with a shinogi zukuri (curved with yokote and shinogi close to the mune) blade forged from S5 steel, known for its toughness, strength, and high shock resistance. This oil quenched blade is then given a super mirror polish to produce a super sharp edge.

Equipped with a simple yet elegant iron maru gata (round or circular) tsuba, other premium fittings for this katana is made of brass. This includes the fuchi, kashira, menuki, seppa, and habaki with a bamboo motif.

The blade is secured to the wooden Haichi style tsuka with a mekugi. The hilt is then covered with white genuine samegawa and the very tight tsukamaki uses Japanese imported cotton tsuka ito. This katana is then completed by an oil lacquered saya in black and green with a mottled design and fitted with a brass shitodome and thickened sageo.
