    PRODUCT DETAILS

    This is an Iaito sword specifically made for a beginner Japanese sword enthusiast. It possesses the same attributes and characteristics as a real samurai Katana blade, except it is unsharpened and blunted for safe use. The sword is made from 1060 high carbon steel and features two bohi (grooves) on each side to decrease its weight and produce the desired tachikaze (sound when slashing).

    The blade's tang is double-pegged for extra stability. The handle, comfortably wrapped with rayskin and tsuka-maki, has a glossy wooden scabbard. Each fitting is crafted from alloy, enriched with the Japanese crane symbolizing honor, good fortune, loyalty, and longevity. This blade piece is ideal for Iaido training and, upon request, can be sharpened for light-cutting practice. It comes with a complimentary sword bag.
