PRODUCT DETAILS

This forged and folded steel blade katana has been developed to commemorate The Battles of Kawanakajima, which were fought in the Sengoku period of Japan between opponents Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin. The T10 & 9260 steel blade crafted by the skilled masters of Dragon King is protected by a black saya tied with a black sageo. The 28” blade’s weight is reduced by a deep hi that makes the katana easily recognizable, together with the noticeable hada determined by the blade folding process.

Another stunning detail can be found on the tsuba, which features Uesugi Kenshin and Takeda Shingen involved in combat. Weighing 2 lbs 15 oz, the Kawanakajima Katana is valued both by collectors and practitioners.
