Shadow Dancer Kikusui-Sukashi San-mai Katana

Shadow Dancer's Kikusui Sukashi SanMai Katana has a beautiful and luxurious appearance due to its design. Forged from upgraded folded steel combined with the sanmai construction technique, this shinogi zukuri (curved blade with the yokote and shinogi close to the mune) blade has two jackets of steel encasing the core to increase the durability of the blade and the sharpness of its edge. Heat treated, clay tempered, and Sashikomi polished, the blade features a striking notare (large waves) hamon and is secured to the tsuka with a mekugi.

As part of its name implies, the term "Kikusui Sukashi" refers to the iron openwork tsuba along with its brass antique fuchi and kashira that features the design of chrysanthemum flowers floating in a stream. It also comes with a brass antique menuki, and copper seppa and habaki. The Haichi style tsuka is covered with white samegawa and wrapped with black kapok ito from Japan.

This exquisite looking katana is completed with a wine colored saya fitted with horn koiguchi, kojiri, kurigata, and brass shitodome, along with artificial silk sageo that highlights the scabbard's color.
