Dragon King Lotus Seed Katana Rebirth Cycle

Dragon King’s Lotus Seed Katana serves as a reminder of enlightenment, purity, and rebirth. 

The shinogi zukuri (ridge line runs along the blade’s length on both sides) blade forged from T10 steel, is tough, hard, and has superior edge retention. The blade’s shape also gives it an excellent balance of durability and strength while also allowing it to slice efficiently. The differential heat treatment that produces a hard edge and flexible spine also yields a stunning notare (irregular and undulating) hamon which accentuates the sword’s overall appearance. 

This katana comes equipped with premium fittings—including the blackened tsuba with copper-toned lotus seeds. Meanwhile, silver-toned seppa, habaki, and menuki add contrast and highlights to the sword. Growing pristine from muddy waters, the lotus symbolizes spiritual purity while also representing resilience and beauty, even in hardship.

White samegawa covers the wooden core handle while the tightly wrapped tsukamaki uses purple cotton tsuka ito. Completing the katana is a lacquered back scabbard with a matching sageo.
