Hanwei Tori Elite Martial Artist’s Kabuto Katana

The Tori Elite Katana is an elegant looking piece that is part of Hanwei's Performance Series. The blade of this katana is forged from K120C steel, a type of powder steel that is made in Japan under Sweden's SSAB license. Highly homogenous and containing an even distribution of carbon content, blades made from K120C ensures that it is evenly tempered throughout, giving it excellent edge retention and durability. For this full tang blade, the differential heat treatment and clay tempering results in a beautiful jihada and midareba hamon.

As the name of this katana implies, the mokko gata (lobed shape) tsuba features a flying crane, a motif that carries over to both the fuchi and kashira as well. Featuring premium fittings like the Kabuki inspired menuki, the tsuka is designed to complement the overall aesthetics of the katana with black same held in place with high quality brown leather tsuka ito. This katana comes sheathed in a saya with a textured brown finish. The koiguchi is then wrapped with black lacquered rattan.
