Phoenix Jian Damascus Steel Sword Pattern Copper Carved

This is a traditionally made Chinese Jian sword, featuring both dragon and phoenix creatures as its main motif. These are legendary mythological beasts with auspicious meanings, standing for power and status. The blade, crafted from pattern folded steel, features beautiful Damascus-like layers. It is complete with a traditional Chinese Tai Chi tassel hanging from the pommel and an antique-style handguard, which narrows toward the handle.

The 4-sided blade, polished using traditional hazuya stones, boasts a mirror-like shine. It is differentially heat treated, tempered, and oil-quenched. The handle, designed for a one-handed grip, is made from hardwood, while the scabbard is constructed from dark ebony wood. All fittings are crafted from brass and copper, the dragon and phoenix brighter than the rest. A free, optional engraving service is available and a storage bag for safekeeping is included.
