Unconventionally captivating, Shadow Dancer’s Pink Snow Cherry Blossom katana captures spring’s beauty and resilience. Forged from 1095 carbon steel, the unokubi zukuri (cormorant’s neck style) blade also features a single bohi, giving the sword a lightweight design with improved point of balance,  making the sword quick, agile, and maneuverable. A gunome (wave-like) hamon that reflects the quiet strength and grace found in nature is accentuated through mirror polishing, adding to the overall aesthetics of the blade.

The blackened fittings with gold-toned accents on this katana include the brass maru gata (round) tsuba, fuchi, kashira, and menuki, adorned with cherry blossom motifs, a symbol of renewal and perseverance. Gold-toned brass tsuba and habaki add warmth and a luxurious touch. 

One mekugi secures the full tang blade to the wooden Haichi style hilt covered in white samegawa wrapped tightly in pace with white synthetic silk ito for a secure and comfortable grip. 

This katana comes sheathed in an elegant white and pink lacquered scabbard, evoking the gentle cascade of cherry blossoms. Completing the ensemble are alloy shitodome and a matching thickened sageo.
