Hanwei Rapier, Bone Grip – Straight Swept Hilt Crossguard

The Swept Hilt Style Rapier is a timeless classic seen throughout Europe during the 17th and 18th centuries. This style facilitated extravagance while protecting the user from incoming blade thrusts and slashes. It came in various variations from Italy, France, Spain, Germany, and England and was often carried side-by-side with a Main Gauche dagger.

This version encapsulated elements from all these regions, embodying the most iconic design frequently displayed in many museums. It features a high carbon steel flex-tempered blade that is elastic yet rigid enough for thrusting. The blade includes an unsharpened ricasso near the hilt, with a reinforced core starting just after it.

The hilt, crafted from stainless steel, requires minimal maintenance. It is complemented by a real bone handle that is smooth to the touch and aesthetically pleasing. The design is completed with a pointy pommel, a long crossguard, and blade catchers, ensuring maximum style during duels.

The Rapier comes with its own rigid leather-covered scabbard. The blade is suitable for cutting practice, or it can be replaced with a practical unsharpened one (OH2255) for sparring or cosplay.
