Red Katana Damascus Steel Sword Clay Tempered Hamon

This is a reinterpretation of a historical Japanese Katana sword, used by the samurai, created with modern 13-times folded Damascus Steel, which produces around 8192 visible blade layers. The blade is full tang, secured safely with two pegs, while the steel has undergone proper quenching and clay tempering to achieve ideal hardness levels and a genuine hamon.

The blade's steel has undergone a special treatment to feature a dark red color across its length. It also features a bohi (groove) to make the tachikaze (sound of a perfect swing) easily achievable. The handle boasts a rayskin and hineri-maki (cord wrap style) cover, while the scabbard is wood with a robust matte finish. This Katana's fittings comprise iron, alloy, and copper, following a motif of the Japanese eagle, symbolizing bravery and courage.
