The tiger for the samurai was a symbol that they proudly represented, usually after a heroic, loyal, or very brave deed as it represented strength, courage, and decisiveness, the very core elements that the samurai ought to represent. This is a functional katana sword with the Japanese tiger motif.

The blade is made out of 1045 high carbon steel that has been traditionally clay-tempered, a method that makes the sharpened edge harder while leaving the spine flexible to reach the right balance for cutting. It comes with a bohi groove to make it lighter and produce a louder slashing sound.

The fittings are of zinc alloy, each with the tiger and nature motifs including the rounded tsuba handguard. The handle is wrapped with real rayskin and a tight cotton tsuka-ito cord. It has also been double-pegged for extra security.

It comes with its very own wooden scabbard that has been lacquered for protection against scratches and to give it a shiny appeal.
