    Inspired by the Suontaka sword discovered in a Finnish grave, this functional replica captures the artistry and character of the Viking Age. Although the burial dates to around 1100 AD, the sword’s design may be nearly a century older.

    Rich copper-plated knotwork decorates the pommel, guard, grip band, and ornamental inserts. The sharpened, double-edged blade is forged from 1080 high-carbon steel and features a fully tempered, full-tang construction, securely peened over the pommel.

    Nordic dragon engravings and a wooden grip complete the Norse-inspired hilt. The sword also includes a leather scabbard with matching copper fittings and a baldric for traditional carrying.
