Designed and tested in collaboration with the English Martial Arts Academy, our latest addition to the synthetic range is a game-changer for backsword practitioners. These competitively priced swords are essential for enhancing intensity during sparring and tournaments.

Specifically tailored for practicing techniques from George Silver and Highland Broadsword fighting manuals, these swords feature the standard Rawlings Xtreme Single Hand Blade, compatible with all Rawlings Single Hand Sword fittings.

The blades are engineered to flex in the last one-third towards the tip, ensuring safer thrusting compared to wooden wasters or shinai. A high tensile steel rod reinforces the blade/tang joint, eliminating the handle flex commonly found in plastic training swords. With their synthetic blades, they also offer a safer option for theatrical use, surpassing the risks associated with steel or aluminum.

Red Dragon provides a range of interchangeable parts, allowing various styles of swords to be created on a single blade. The ball-shaped quillon finials, rounded pommels, and sparring-safe pommel and basket of the basket-hilt sword prioritize safety during practice. The rubber-like thermoplastic elastomer grips absorb strikes and ensure a secure fit on the tangs. These synthetic-bladed swords are equally suitable for theatrical performances.
