Windlass US 1860 Naval Cutlass – Functional & Battle Ready

The 1860 US Naval Cutlass is an iconic edged weapon used by the American Navy throughout the 19th century. This is a reproduction of many surviving examples that were designed by Ames and first employed in 1860, used for fighting in close quarters and carried on many ships traveling around the world.

It is made out of 1065 high carbon steel and comes factory sharpened, ready to be used for cutting. The blade meets British military specifications and can flex to 20° and return to its original shape, making it a real battle-ready cutlass. Its cord-wrapped handle is comfortable and protected by a brass basket.

The cutlass comes with a replica of a historical leather frog that was also issued in the same century.
