Windlass Oakeshott Type XIV

Oakeshott Type XIV is the iconic medieval European sword that was a common sight everywhere from the battlefields to the courts of nobility, to one-on-one duels. It is "The" iconic European knightly sword used from the 13th century all the way to the 15th and inspired many other swords to come after it.

It is made out of high carbon steel and hardened to have the right flexibility levels for rigid cutting tasks. The blade has a tapering design to a single and very pointy tip, allowing the sword to be used for cutting against mail armor and thrusting in the smaller gaps of plate armor. The blade carries a fuller in the center which reduces its weight and helps with its balance.

The one-handed grip has the iconic rounded pommel. The handle is wooden and covered with leather, with the crossguard slightly narrowed toward the blade to allow for more maneuverability and versatility in striking.

This arming sword comes with its own scabbard made out of leather with metal fittings.
