Windlass 1918 US Knuckle Duster Trench Knife

This is a functional replica of the iconic 1918 US Knuckle Duster Trench Knife, used during the many fighting trenches in The Great War. It was originally manufactured for US forces by LF & C and served both as a combat tool for stabbing enemies and as a punching weapon with the guard.

The blade is crafted from carbon steel that has been treated to be tough and durable for cutting. It has been blued, which enhances its appeal while making it more protected from rust and corrosion.

The fittings and guard are all made from cast brass with an antiqued dark finish. The pommel features an accurate pyramid skull, which was used as a crusher pommel for bashing. The handle is accurately marked with WW1 markings.

It comes with its own steel sheath with markings, which protects the blade from external elements and makes it easier to carry.
