Shadow Dancer 9260 Steel Unokubi Zukuri Katana

Astutely designed, this Shadow Dancer katana has a commanding presence backed by its mirror-polished unokubi zukuri (cormorant’s neck style) blade forged from 9260 steel, an alloy containing silicon to provide impressive flexibility and shock resistance. Heat-treated and oil-quenched, the blade features a bohi which decreases the sword’s overall weight and improves its point of balance. Combined with the blade geometry, this katana is incredibly lightweight, agile, and intuitive.

Equipped with premium blackened brass fittings with gold accents—including the mokko gata (lobed shape) tsuba, fuchi, kashira, and menuki—adorned with intricate floral motifs and traditional karakusa (vining tendrils) patterns, symbolizing harmony, prosperity, and growth. Other gold-toned brass fittings such as the seppa and habaki add contrast, complementing the sword’s overall design. 

A mekugi secures the full tang blade to the wooden core Haichi style tsuka covered with white genuine samegawa, wrapped tightly with artificial silk ito. Hishigami additions are available for a tighter and more durable grip.

Completing this masterpiece is a black oil-lacquered saya with a matching sageo.
