Its shinogi zukuri (ridge line runs along the blade’s length on both sides) blade forged from 1095 carbon steel has undergone the differential hardening process, revealing a simple yet stunning suguha (straight) hamon. This construction yields an extremely sharp and keen edge that is highly desirable, highly recommended for experienced cutting practitioners. 

The blackened brass fittings with gold highlights including the tsuba, fuchi, kashira, and menuki complement the gold-toned seppa and habaki, adding a luxurious touch to the katana’s overall design. The flame motifs on the sword’s koshirae are deeply symbolic, representing purification, transformation, wisdom, and the destruction of evil. 

A single mekugi secures the full tang blade to the wooden core Haichi-style tsuka covered in white genuine samegawa and wrapped tightly in black synthetic silk tsuka ito for a secure and comfortable grip.

Completing the ensemble is a deep purple oil lacquered saya with streaks of black and gold, giving it a striking pattern that blooms across like petals of flame. The scabbard is fitted with alloy shitodome and paired with a matching thickened sageo.
