Han Wu Jian Folded Steel Copper Fittings

This is the "Han Wu" sword: a replica of an iron or steel blade from the Han Dynasty (202 BCE - 220 CE). Sporting the traditional 8-sided blade and a significantly elongated hand-and-a-half handle, this sword is crafted from Damascus Steel. This steel is folded multiple times, culminating in a total of 8192 visible, beautifully layered blades. Subsequently, the blade is clay tempered, thus hardening its edges and creating an authentic hamon line.

The handle, crafted from hardwood, is traditionally wrapped in a silk cord cover. Underneath it, a rope intertwined in an X-like pattern ensures added grip strength. The accompanying scabbard, made from ebony wood, is similarly festooned with copper fittings. Engraved on these fittings are Chinese bats, symbolizing longevity and happiness. The sword comes with a free bag and suits a variety of purposes, from cutting practice to decor.
