Windlass Mexican War United States Dragoons

Replicating the saber used by the renowned American cavalry, the United States Dragoons, this replica was a widely used edged weapon in battles like the Second Seminole War (1835-1842), the Mexican War (1846-1848), and various South-West Indian Wars.

Forged from 1065 high carbon steel, the sword strikes the right balance between rigidity and flexibility. It features a brass three-branch D-guard, offering increased protection while allowing freedom of hand movement. The handle has a wooden core, meticulously wrapped with leather and cord wire, ensuring a very firm grip. The blade is inscribed with "United States Dragoons" and an accurate symbol beneath it.
