Shadow Dancer LD Steel High Performance Tameshigiri Katana

The High Performance LD Steel Tameshigiri Katana is made for rigid and tough cutting tasks. The blade steel is one of the most powerful and durable modern steel blades, recognized by some as the best modern-day steel for a katana.

It carries a shinogi-zukuri blade profile, which was the samurai favorite. It has been vacuum heat treated throughout to allow for hardness levels of 59 HRC, ideal for cutting. The blade has been enriched with an etched suguha hamon and doesn't come with a bo-hi groove to increase its weight, which aids its overall impact when slashing.

The handle features real rayskin underneath a tight synthetic silk tsuka-ito with an iron-made tsuba handguard and brass fittings. The saya is oil-lacquered to create a shiny reflection.
