Shadow Dancer 9260 Steel Kanmuriotoshi-Zukuri

Shadow Dancer's Kanmuriotoshi Zukuri Katana is an essential sword for any collector. Forged from 9260 high carbon steel and oil quenched, the elevated silicone level in the steel gives the blade its resilience and shock resistance.
The kanmuri otoshi zukuri blade profile means the thickness on the back gradually thins out from the middle towards the tip, a style often seen in blades from the Yamato province since the Kamakura period. The bohi lightens the overall weight and improves balance.
This katana features an elegant blackened iron tsuba, along with brass fuchi, kashira, and menuki that complement the overall design. The blade is secured to the wooden Haichi tsuka with a mekugi, covered with white genuine samegawa, and tightly wrapped with black artificial silk tsuka ito.
Completing the katana is a black oil lacquered saya fitted with alloy shitodome and a thickened sageo in black and white.
