Ronin Katana Medieval One Handed Sword – Euro #18

This is a Type XIV European Arming Sword made of 1075 high carbon steel and usable for functional cutting practice right out of the box. It has a design inspired by the XIII and XIV centuries where many blades were experimentally made to both chop strongly and pierce deeply, trying to win the arms race with the rising plate armor.

The blade is therefore very broad near the guard and very pointy at the tip, while being very thin throughout. It has a deep fuller through its center to make it light and flexible.

The handle is wrapped with leather for a comfortable grip, and the fittings such as the pommel and guard are made of steel.

It comes with its very own scabbard made of wood and also wrapped with leather, giving it further protection from rust and allowing for smooth and easy carriage.
