Shadow Dancer Modern Tactical Daisho Set (Katana + Wakizashi + Tanto) – 5160 Spring Steel Blade

Shadow Dancer’s Tactical Daisho Set consists of three purpose-built blades to meet any terrain or scenario. 

Traditionally referring to the paired katana and wakizashi, the daisho became the exclusive privilege of the samurai. The daitō (long sword) is the primary weapon meant for open or outdoor combat. Meanwhile, the shōtō (short sword) was worn indoors where katanas were forbidden, serving as a close-quarters combat weapon. Often paired with the tachi before the 15th century, the tanto is included today in many daisho sets as part of the modern appeal. 

All three blades are forged from 5160 spring steel, a material prized for its flexibility, resilience, and shock resistance. Heat treated and oil quenched to a hardness of 58 HRC, these blades are then tactically polished to optimize their function and durability. A bohi on each removes excess weight and shifts the point of balance toward their hilts, improving their control and agility. 

Each piece comes equipped with a brass tsuba and habaki, chosen for their rust and corrosion resistance. Two mekugi are used to further secure the full tang blade to the non-detachable handle made from high-strength engineering plastic, making it virtually maintenance free. A diamond-grid texture is added on the handle to ensure a no-slip grip in any weather. 

Every blade comes sheathed in a black lacquered saya with paracord sageo that can be tightened or worn as needed.
