Built for warriors, Dragon King’s War Horse Katana is an elegant but imposing piece that is a worthy addition to any collection. 

Forged from 1566 high carbon steel, the shinogi zukuri (ridge line runs along the blade’s length on both sides) blade is hard, tough, and retains its edge remarkably well. Due to its streamline design, the blade is robust, versatile, and slices well with minimal resistance. Besides ensuring a hard edge and flexible spine, the differential hardening process also yields a stunning notare (irregular and undulating) hamon that accentuates the katana’s beauty.

Premium blackened fittings such as the tsuba immediately draws one’s attention due to its intricate motifs of warhorses—representing the warrior spirit, speed, and power. Meanwhile, the other side depicts samurai armor and sword symbolizes bravery and protection, a fervent hope that the warrior returns victorious. Other mountings such as the silver seppa and habaki add warmth and contrast to the sword’s appearance. 

Mekugi secure the full tang blade to the wooden core handle covered in white samegawa and wrapped tightly with tsuka ito. This katana comes sheathed in a glossy lacquered saya with black sageo.
