Z-SEY Wing Tamahagane Katana (Handmade Saya)

Z-Sey's Wing Tamahagane Katana has a Shinogi Zukuri (curved blade with yokote and shinogi close to the mune) blade forged from tamahagane, differentially hardened, clay tempered, and Sashikomi Grade A++ polished to reveal a beautiful suguha (straight) hamon.

Equipped with entirely new fittings, this katana features a red copper mokko gata (lobed shape) tsuba with gold Fukurin (decorative trim); brass fuchi, kashira, menuki; along with red copper seppa and habaki.

The Haichi style tsuka is handmade according to the Nakago and secured to it with one mekugi. The handle is then inlaid with white large emperor node samegawa and wrapped with creamy genuine white Japanese silk ito.

This masterpiece comes sheathed in a handmade oil lacquered saya fitted with horn koiguchi, kurigata, kojiri, and brass shitodome. Since the saya is handmade, the blade does not rattle in it. The Maya's color is customizable.
