Shadow Dancer Green Dragon Tsuba Battle-Ready Katana Sword

A timeless piece that evokes tranquility and strength, this Shadow Dancer katana from the Nova series blends modern designs with the uncompromising standards of traditional craftsmanship, ideal for any collector or martial artist.

Its stunning shinogi zukuri (ridge line runs along the blade’s length) blade is forged from 9260 spring steel, giving it impressive resilience, flexibility, and shock resistance. Its durability makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, including cutting practice.

The addition of a bohi (fuller) decreases the sword’s weight, improves its point of balance, and heightens the clarity of the tachikaze—resulting in better overall performance.

As the katana’s name implies, the sword fittings have dragon motifs—including a tsuba with engraved dragon scales, the fuchi with dragon claws—along with matching kashira, menuki, seppa, and habaki.

Following tradition, one mekugi secures the blade to the hilt, allowing the handle to be easily disassembled for maintenance if required. THe wooden core tsuka is first covered with white samegawa held in place by a tight tsukamaki using black artificial silk tsuka ito.

This luxurious piece is completed by a deep green lacquered scabbard with black flecks and a matching sageo.
