Shadow Dancer CPM-3V High Performance Katana Sword

Graceful yet lethal, this Shadow Dancer katana has a blade forged from CPM3V powder metallurgy tool steel with far more evenly distributed carbides, decreasing the likelihood of weak points found in conventionally cast steel. This results in a blade with exceptional toughness and impact resistance, as well as good wear resistance.

Per Shadow Dancer’s unparalleled warranty, any cracked or broken CPM3V blades under reasonable, normal use, excluding malicious damage or unconventional destructive testing, will be replaced free of charge with a new CPM3V blade matching the original size and basic zukuri grind.  Under their Quality Control processes, a spectrometer is used to verify the authenticity of each batch of steel, while a microhardness tester measures the heat treatment hardness of each blade batch.

This katana comes equipped with matching silver-toned koshirae with mitsudomoe (三つ巴), an emblem consisting of three commas swirling counter clockwise, as seen in the maru gata (round) tsuba, fuchi, kashira, and menuki. This motif carries several potential representations, including the: heaven, earth, and mankind concept in Shintoism; swirling form of water; and the cycle of life. It is also associated with Hachiman, a deity of war and archery, leading to the emblem's adoption by samurai. Silver-toned seppa and habaki complement the other fittings.

One mekugi secures the nakago to the tsuka, covered in white samegawa and held in place by tightly wrapped tsukamaki. This piece is then completed by a black glossy saya with a matching sageo.

**This katana's blade has standard polish, with an optional upgrade of optimized mirror polishing.**
