Tanto 1095 Carbon Steel Dagger Clay Tempered Dragon

Tanto swords, the smallest blades carried by the samurai, were used ceremonially or as a last-resort safety tool in their arsenal of weapons. This combat Tanto replica is made out of 1095 high carbon steel using a maru (single steel) method. It has been quenched and clay-tempered to feature a real hamon that offers an ideal level of hardness.

Its double-pegged full tang handle is tightly wrapped with rayskin under tsuka-maki. The scabbard is made of hardwood and given a robust matte finish. The fittings, forged out of alloy and brass, follow a Japanese dragon motif symbolizing bravery and courage.
